THE BEGINNING YEARS (2001 - 2002)
In the beginning years, M.H. Reese focused on primarily exploring the genre of surrealism and the inner workings of his mind. The mediums used were colored pencil and ink.

In the early period, M.H. Reese not only continued to explore surrealism, but he also began to devle into the world of the abstract. M.H. also began to explore color. His works encompassed a wide array of themes such as women, religion, attitude, and morality/ethics. The medium in his works included colored pencil, ink, collage, pastels, watercolor, and craypas.
